Steady Sound vs Intermittent Alarm: Which Tower Light Buzzer Mode Do You Need?
Every factory knows visual tower lights tell machine status, but audible buzzer alerts are just as critical. Choosing the wrong buzzer mode can cause confusion for operators, or even make critical faults get overlooked.
There are two widely used buzzer types for industrial tower lights: steady continuous sound and intermittent flashing alarm.
Steady Sound Buzzer
It outputs continuous constant sound once triggered.
✅ Best for critical faults, emergency stop, urgent breakdown alerts.
⚠️ Note: Continuous noise may cause fatigue for long-time exposure.
Flashing / Intermittent Alarm Buzzer
Beep with on-off interval sound.
✅ Best for normal warnings, pre-alarm, machine standby reminder.
⚠️ Less harsh, easier for operators to distinguish from critical failures.
When to choose high-decibel buzzer
Pick high dB buzzer if:
- Workshop has loud background noise
- Operators work far away from the machine
- You need obvious audible reminder in busy production lines
ONN Recommendation
Our ONN M4 series warning light supports optional buzzers with steady or intermittent alarm modes. You can select high decibel version for noisy workshop environments.
